Nestled in a lush Umbrian valley, Il Fornello Agritourism Country Inn, is located halfway between Florence and Rome, near the border of Tuscany. Nearby are small ancient hill towns, Lake Trasimeno and vineyards of legendary fame like those of Montepulciano. Dating from the 17th Century, Il Fornello has been recently restored and converted to seven contemporary apartments and a cottage. Its cool swimming pool invites relaxation in the peaceful rural atmosphere. The historic cities of Siena, Florence, Cortona, Arezzo, Perugia, Pienza, Assisi and Orvieto are within 30 minutes to an hour away. Rome is 90 minutes.
